It’s always interesting to read articles about SEO for photographers. It’s something I’ve studied for quite a while, and I have a bit of a business interest as I offer SEO Audits and consulting.
I get amused when folks look at SEO as a grand noble cause or make it out to be anything more than it really is.
It’s about search rankings.
It’s not about how pretty your pictures are, or how good you are at client relations, or whether you won any contests or competitions lately.
There’s a lot of business value in SEO. We all search. And let’s be realistic, we probably never venture very far past the first page of those search results.
Being best at SEO doesn’t mean you’re best at anything beyond SEO. That said… we can learn from those who win.
